Throwback Thursday — September 3, 2016 🎢❤️

Exactly 10 years ago today.

Before the big coaster days, the front-row rides and all the miles we’ve put on Cedar Point, there were days like this — little rides, big smiles and family time.

Ten years went by fast.

A lot has changed, but one thing hasn’t: this place has given our family a whole lot of memories.

Why I Do This Wednesday 🎢❤️

Because I love it.

Solo days give me a different side of Cedar Point. I get to slow down, take in the rides, the people, and the atmosphere. I love watching families make memories at a place that has given me and my family so much joy over the years.

Seeing kids with their families especially gets me. It brings back memories of my own babies at the park and reminds me that somewhere out there, somebody is creating one of those memories right now.

The coasters are a huge part of it. The sunsets are beautiful. But sometimes my favorite part is simply being there.

And sometimes... saying I’m leaving, then making one more U-turn for Valravn.

Trainless Tuesday 🎢🌅

Sometimes the track doesn’t need a train to tell the story.

Rougarou winding over the lagoon, Millennium Force towering in the distance, and that golden-hour light reflecting off the water. Cedar Point has a way of looking just as good between the rides as it does on them.

Cedar Point Visit #21 😎🎢🌇

Chrystopher and I picked a GREAT day to be at Cedar Point.

Siren’s Curse was around 10 minutes, Millennium Force was basically a walk-on, Maverick was only about 10–15 minutes, and Steel Vengeance dropped to less than 10. Days like that don’t happen often. 😂

Magnum XL-200 gave us a little unexpected adventure when an AirPod decided to stay behind. Lesson learned: secure your belongings. 😂

We still kept the day rolling with Top Thrill 2, and while we waited near Magnum after closing, Cedar Point gave us this incredible fire sunset behind TT2. 🔥🌇

Short waits, great rides, a lesson learned, and another father-son Cedar Point day in the books. ❤️

Visit #21 was a good one.

That view of twisted steel as you approach the gate promises a day of thrills and memories guaranteed.

GateKeeper. Raptor. Valravn. Top Thrill 2. All in one view, and not a train in sight. 😎

💙🎢 Millennium Monday

I used to love taking the kids through Dinosaurs Alive at Cedar Point. We'd make our way through the dinosaurs and eventually end up by the T. rex and Triceratops, with Millennium Force flying around us.

When Dinosaurs Alive became Forbidden Frontier, the kids found a new love for the island — especially the playground and just being able to explore the area.

The attractions changed. The kids grew up. But Millennium Force was always there in the background. 💙

Some of my favorite Cedar Point memories weren't made riding the coasters. They were made with my family underneath them.

The trains may steal the screams, but the steel tells the story.

One of my favorite things about Cedar Point is slowing down long enough to appreciate the views between the rides. Looking up at Top Thrill 2, standing beneath Steel Vengeance, watching Millennium Force dominate the skyline, or catching Rougarou sweeping through the lagoon at sunset... Every corner of the park has something worth photographing.

Sometimes the best ride of the day is the one behind the camera.
