The Story of the Battle of Badr
A long time ago, in the time of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, there was a very important battle called the Battle of Badr. It happened in the month of Ramadan, and it was a special event that showed how Allah helps those who trust in Him.
Why Did the Battle Happen?
The people of Makkah, called the Quraysh, did not like Islam. They were mean to the Muslims, took away their homes, and even hurt them. The Muslims had to leave Makkah and move to a new city called Madinah. But the Quraysh still wanted to stop Islam from growing.
One day, the Muslims found out that the Quraysh were coming with a big army to attack them. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his companions (Sahabah) had to defend themselves. Even though the Muslims were much fewer in number, they put their trust in Allah.
The Small but Brave Muslim Army
The Muslim army had only 313 people.
They had very few weapons, only two horses and 70 camels.
The Quraysh army was much bigger, with 1,000 soldiers, lots of weapons, and many camels and horses.
The Night Before the Battle
The night before the battle, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ made du’a (prayer) and asked Allah for help. Allah promised in the Quran that He would send angels to help the believers.
The Battle Begins!
The next morning, the battle started. Even though the Muslims were outnumbered, they fought with strong faith. Allah sent angels to help them, and soon, the Quraysh army became scared. The Muslims won the battle even though they were much smaller in number!
What Can We Learn from Badr?
1. Trust in Allah – Even if things look hard, Allah is always there to help.
2. Never give up – The Muslims didn’t run away; they stood strong for the truth.
3. Allah helps those who do good – If you do what is right, Allah will be on your side.
The Battle of Badr was a miracle that showed that faith is stronger than numbers or weapons. It teaches us that when we trust in Allah and do our best, He will always take care of us!
