βοΈπ₯ HEAT SAFETY TIPS π₯βοΈ
The South Georgia heat is no joke! As temperatures climb, make sure you and your family stay safe while working, playing, or enjoying the outdoors.
β
Drink plenty of water throughout the day. β
Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning. β
Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing. β
Never leave children or pets in a vehicle. β
Watch for signs of heat exhaustion: dizziness, nausea, excessive sweating, and weakness. β
Schedule outdoor work for early morning or late evening when possible.
If you're working outside, remember: Heat stress can happen faster than you think. Stay hydrated and look out for your coworkers, friends, and neighbors.
Stay safe, South Georgia! ππ§
