We have a problem and we try and we plan and worry and think and mediate on how to solve it. We try everything we know to do and then, FINALLY, we are like, "Well, I've done all I know to do. I guess I'll just have to pray about it." WHAT?!! Why are we like this?
Prayer should be our first response, even in the simplest things in life.
This is one of the reasons it is vital to surround ourselves with a community of God -fearing believers that hear us, encourage us, hold us accountable and are prayer warriors that show up for each other.
Sometimes we need an outside view of our situation that can help put things back in perspective.

1Samuel 17:26-And David spoke to the men that stood by him saying, What shall be done to the man that kills this Philistine, and takes away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?

Until David came on the scene, the name of God had not even been mentioned!
"No one else discussed God; David discussed no one else but God."
David reminded them WHO they served. The maker of the universe was on THEIR side.
"David sees what others don't, and refuses to see what others do."
The others only saw Goliath's size, strength & brutality. They had majored in all things Goliath. David majors in God. He sees Goliath, but he sees God and His unlimited strength and power more.
The Israelite army was completely overcome and defeated with fear as they focused on the giant in front of them. Paralyzed, their progress was at a complete standstill. How often do we allow this in our own life. The giant comes out of nowhere so fast that we literally forget in the moment WHO has our back!

Share not only your victories, but your struggles as well. Let your tribe remind you to pray, remind you WHO you belong to. Straighten each other's crown and walk victoriously!

God blesses us and gives us gifts and talents, not so we can hoard them for ourselves but so that we can be a blessing to others.

Serving:
I think about how much I benefit from all the fabulously gracious servers at my church. From the cross-walk volunteers that get me safely across the road, to the smiling greeters, the coffee servers, the worship team, the ones that make sure our church is sparkling clean..etc. They all have a heart to do something for Christ.
What am I doing to contribute to my church family? 🤔 Time to up my game!

We are to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Sometimes a simple smile at a stranger could mean the world to someone that just needed to see some kindness in the world.
Look for ways to be a blessing.

Father, help me to be a window for others to see your love. Create in me a servant's heart, that I will become more generous with my time, talents and blessings that you so graciously shower me with! Help me to give more than I take. Help me Lord to be sensitive to the needs of others and equip me Father with everything necessary to meet the needs of those you purposely place in my path. Amen.

Walk in love. Give more than you take.

Our Savior, the Son of God, came to earth and humbled himself. He allowed mere men to lay violent hands on Him, degrade, shame, spit on, torture and eventually kill Him. He did ALL of this for LOVE, that we might be saved and spend eternity with Him.
SURELY, at the very least we can love our neighbor and tell others about this unconditional love?!
Father, help me to see others through your eyes. Help me show love to others as you would have me to. Ignite in me a fire and boldness to spread the gospel. Lord, help me to be quick to forgive because You are so gracious to forgive my many sins and flaws.
Help me Father to me keep my focus on YOU. Let us not be deceived by the enemy's tactics to divide. Help us to recognize we have a common enemy and it's not each other! Amen.
