Fishing Bridge Campground in Yellowstone was perfect. Only hard sided motorized/campers/vans allowed due to presence of grizzlies. Its located in the southeasternish section of Yellowstone.

All sites have concrete pads with a concrete patio for the picnic table. Sites are pull through and FHU. Restrooms and bear proof trash in the immediate area. Showers and laundry next to the office in the front of the campground.

Within 1/4 mile is a general store, visitor center, gas station and an auto/RV repair center.

It was our most expensive stay as we added a well worth it 4 hour tour of Upper, Middle and Lower Basins. Our guide Jason was great and we learned a lot about Yellowstone! Our tour was small with only about a dozen people. On tour we saw a lot and did not have to worry about finding parking at some of the busier areas.

Campsite 5 nights $125/night.

One more thing that stood out about Yellowstone was that staff (no matter what area or service) were always friendly and helpful, rangers stationed throughout were always willing to answer questions.

Last day in Yellowstone πŸ˜”. I really like Yellowstone and it's now in my top 3 of National Parks.

The 5 of us watched Old Faithful erupt, picnicked by the Gibbon River, viewed Gibbon Falls, hiked to the Grand Prismatic overlook, found Bison and their young walking down the side of the road, viewed several other Funerals/Hot Springs/Geysers all on the West/southwest side of Yellowstone.

Tomorrow we're going back that way to see Old Faithful erupt. The Old Faithful Inn is outstanding and beautiful!

The last 2 days the 5 of us have put a serious dent in seeing the wonders of Yellowstone.

On Saturday we explored the Hayden area where Bison are aplenty (some swimming across the river), sighted some Elk and had some short hikes/walks around the Grand Yellowstone north and south rims.

On Sunday we continued through the Canyon area, up to the Roosevelt Tower area, I to Mammoth Falls in the Northern part of Yellowstone and back through the interior road. Of course we saw more bison, done Elk, a black bear and her cub who was in the tree and a coyote with his prize.

Day 2 ~ Yellowstone

Decided on a tour of the geysers/hot springs/mud Volcanos with added stops. So glad we did this as we didn't have to fight traffic or find parking.

So we got up at 4:30 AM, left at 6:00 AM to be at the Old Faithful Inn by 7:15. We had a retro style small bus (in pics below) and our guide Jason was great. He now lives and works full time at Yellowstone. The Old Faithful Inn is beautiful, historic (expensive) but definitely a place to see with its architecture and decor (pics below).

We visited several mud volcanos, hot springs and geysers. We also toured the Firehole Basin and falls.

Our tour last 4 hours and was a great way to see many areas. We saw more bison today, a huge Osprey nest with a nesting Osprey and a small black bear. Jason also provided a lot of Yellowstone history and facts. Did you know there is a volcano beneath Yellowstone?!

Most people are considerate and follow rules for safety. We did come upon a couple walking around a hot spring. Jason told them to get back on the trail. If the ground underneath them near the spring broke through they would have plunged into 199Β° water. He also told us another trail is closed as someone in an RV decided to choose a road that says "no buses, RVs, no vehicles over 6000 lbs " and broke the bridge to the trail πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ.

Anyway a great day ... Now we're tired!!!

Added a pic of Old Faithful at the bottom .

Day 1 Yellowstone ~

Went out exploring in the park and saw bison (one actually crossed the road behind us). We also found Mud Volcanos, found rapids along the Yellowstone River and took pics of the mountains over Yellowstone Lake near where we are staying.
