You’re ok. You’re still here. You’re alive.
Sometimes, we just have to stop and breathe when moments feel like hours and our hearts are crushing beneath the weight of our pain, trauma, anxiety, stress, disappointments or negative experiences. When this happens, our mind races seemingly beyond our control.
Stop for a moment and breathe.
Realize that it’s just a bad moment. Put things into perspective. We often have the tendency to focus on things we don’t want to grow. We run situations over and over in our minds. Each time we hit replay, the situation snowballs and grows exponentially. Without realizing it, what happened in the past becomes our daily routine without understanding and becoming keenly aware that each day is a new important step and opportunity on our journey. We must learn to live for today. We must learn to live in the present.
Mantra & Affirmation:
Today, I plan to focus on the things I want to flourish in my life not the weeds that are already destined to die. I choose today to begin again. I choose to love myself. I choose to be kind to me.
