Tasty, Fun, Food

Tasty, Fun, Food Educating and inspiring everyone to develop a fun, healthy and exciting relationship with food and life. Together, we can!

Tasty Fun Food - Season 1 (Spring-Summer edition) What is it? A movement!! Digital content available in audio and paired with published articles and audiovisuals. We start with the production of our first season in 8 Episodes in a form of Podcast in May. Producing digital content makes it available on demand by the consumer. As long as they have a digital device and access to the internet, they can have access to it. Our 8 first Episodes: Kale Strawberries Peaches Corn Tomatoes Watermelons Potatoes Rosemary Goal The goal is to encourage and inspire to achieve a better life through the fun of entertainment, by changing how we feel and think about healthy foods, the origen of the ingredients and their evolution through the develop of the food industry and history of human kind. What makes us different? It’s a culinary adventure that makes us travel from the origen of our ingredients to their place in our tables, spiced up with a touch of fun and a little bit of science. Our approach is fun and our focus is the flavor instead in focusing on the healthy side of the ingredients only. Our format is one ingredient, one show at the time. Why podcast/internet distributions instead of a live radio show? Among the reasons why we are transitioning from live radio to podcasting are: - The content delivered on demand. - We have several platforms of distribution to ensure the content is available to, with access to the digital world regardless of the preferred method of media interaction of our listeners. - The evolution and growth of the internet industry and social media. - Measurable results and stats. - Interaction with our listeners/consumers one on one. Our show, connects the dots between science, history, heritage, nutrition, learning, family, food and cooking wrapped up in a fun entertaining product available to all. Let’s change this world while we discover, educate, inspire, support and encourage one another…shall we?

Kale

What is it?

Kale is a popular vegetable, a member of the cabbage family (Brassica oleracea). It is related to cruciferous vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, collard greens and brussels sprouts...like cousins.

There are many different types of kale. The leaves can be green or purple in color, and have either a smooth or curly shape.

The most common type of kale, and the one we find all year round, is called curly kale or Scots kale. This variety has green and curly leaves and a hard, fibrous stem.

Even thought is a biennial plant, it’s grown as annual for young leaves and shoots for human consumption.

So what is a biennial plant? It’s a flowering plant that takes two years to complete its biological lifecycle. In the first year, the plant grows leaves, stems, and roots (vegetative structures), then it enters a period of dormancy over the colder months.

Do you want to know since when humans have been consuming Kale? Check out our next post... ;)
