If you do not believe that Hurts is a top ten QB, why? Say what you want about his overall stats and the team around him, someone still has to get the ball where it needs to be when it’s supposed to be there and not turn the ball over. Hurts does that as well as anyone. Not to mention his rushing ability.

These stats say the guy wins and I’m all about that. Time to start rethinking the quarterback position.

It’s about damn time. Oh wait, this still doesn’t solve the issues. Make the transfer portal open after the season ends. There’s no reason for the portal to be open before then. Don’t care when the semester starts. It continues to amaze me how the simplest things become the most complicated with the NCAA.

The AFC has a lock for the 7 playoff spots. The NFC has 9 teams all vying for the seven spots.

*A quick disclaimer. We base this on each teams schedule. We sit down and discuss every single game. Yes, ALL 272. We try to consider all factors and information at our disposal. And, yes, there is admitted bias that we do our best to keep objective. But, let’s be honest, everyone’s prediction has a bias based on how they feel teams will perform. We expect this to be wrong and right in a bunch of ways. It’s fun.

While the marquee matchups may not have lived up to the hype, it was still a solid week one.

None of the top tier QB’s played great, but none of them really played awful, either.

The season is just getting started, but already the sky is falling in Alabama, the B1G reigns supreme and there’s life in Florida.

This had all sorts of thoughts pop into my head at once. Brilliant. Absurd. Wild. Bold. Shady. Cash money.

Steve Ballmer and the Clippers are going to be under a whole lot of scrutiny. Really big gray area that they exploited to its fullest. Not illegal, exactly, but it completely avoids everything about the new salary cap structure and what its purpose is so there is a chance the NBA could penalize Ballmer and the Clippers for salaray cap circumvention.

Kawhi and his team better get ready for the backlash as well. Like it or not, this wreaks of money over winning. Now, that being said, all for getting paid what and when you can. But, the amount of games Kawhi has missed over the years has already allowed that conversation to become part of his story. This will only add fuel to the proverbial fire.

It’s going to be interesting to see how the NBA handles this and what, if anything, the other owners have to say about this.
