Two questions. The same answer.

I don’t like this. Tormented myself far longer than I should have over this one. The final outcome broke my heart a little bit.

Dirk ‘Money’ Nowitzki will be my removal and undoing. He holds a special place in my heart and I’m going to go curl up in a ball and hate myself for a little bit.

The greatest teams of all time has the right order for the top three.

The greatest teams of each decade has the 90’s wrong. 1 Championship > wins and AP finishes.

GO BIG RED!

(This is one area my bias will always be extremely clear.)

Bo Nix as the most overrated player in the NFL was not on my bingo card.

Having a hard time coming up with the reasoning behind such a vote.

Someone(s) got some explaining to do.

I do not think it’s a development problem. I think it is the square peg and round hole syndrome. It is an unwillingness of some to take their offensive scheme and adapt it to the strengths of the player. There is no room for development if that is the philosophy of an organization.

There is another component to this problem, and that is the issue of talent evaluation. The odds game for what a player will become is wide ranging. The ones that can play those odds correctly give their organization a giant advantage. Not everyone that has such a job, should.

Bring in the right talent and build off of that talent’s strengths will create winning. Simple enough, right?

Let the sides be taken and flags planted. There is no middle ground in this debate. You stand your ground and defend it with all that is sport!

If your city has a team in all four major sports, you are automatically within the upper echelon. Once that criteria is met, I do not believe additional teams within the same sport adds any value because all sports are already represented. It then becomes about the other factors as to whether or not the value is added for the city.

Fan engagement/support, location, titles, historical context of teams within their sport and players who played for the franchises should all be criteria used. Other criteria used, list it. Break it down and add to the reasoning.

My bias will be strong with this one and I don’t intend to try and hide any of it.

Denver is the sneaky underdog. The dark horse that the coasts will refuse to acknowledge or even think about. It lacks some championship bravado, and the Rockies get carried by the others, but the fan support, history, players and the location are all on that upper tier. Denver, the island in the middle of the country. Just the way I like it.

Marino is undeniably at the top of this list. After him, the order could go a whole lot of different ways. Tarkenton, Moon, Cunningham and Kelly would all be names I think of when this topic comes up. But, the name that never seems to get as much credit as it deserves is Fouts.

Who got left off?
