💛 Hug Rocks for the Mayo Clinic 💛

My heart is full this morning! These Hug Rocks are headed to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota with our dear friend Darcy.

Each one has been prayed over, painted with love, and filled with words of encouragement to bring hope to patients, families, and staff.

A huge thank-you to everyone who rallied to help get these finished in time — your helping hands and kind hearts made this possible! 💕

We’re also asking for continued prayers for Darcy — for peace, strength, and a great outcome as her doctors help her heal. 🙏

💜September is Su***de Awareness Month.
These four letters — H-E-L-P — can feel impossible to say. For many, asking for help carries fear, shame, or the lie that it means weakness. But in truth, saying help is one of the bravest things a person can do.

Through Hug Rocks, we want to change the stigma around those four letters. HELP = Hope. Empathy. Love. People.

💬 Let’s talk about the hard stuff. Mental health. Loneliness. Struggles we’re scared to say out loud. Because silence isolates, but conversation connects.

And let’s not limit awareness to a single month. Let’s make every day Su***de Awareness Day. Every day is a chance to remind someone they matter, to reach out, or to reach in when someone comes to mind.

Meet Paxton — my 5-year-old grandson and lifelong Hug Rocker. 💚⚽

Hug Rocks have been part of his world for as long as he can remember. He loves painting them, handing them to people, and especially hiding them like secret treasures for someone to find.

He recently painted this Hug Rock person and when I asked what message he wanted to put on the back, he proudly declared:
“Chicka Chicka BOOM BOOM!”
…followed by the best little belly laugh you’ve ever heard.

I gently tried to nudge him toward something sweet and mushy. Nope. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom or bust. 😂

He may not be the mushy type, but his heart is huge.

The soccer ball rock in his hand? That’s one I made just for him to celebrate his very first soccer season. ⚽💚On the back there is a special message from me to him.

And the funniest part? If Paxton sees a painted rock anywhere — no matter what it says — he immediately declares:
“It’s a Hug Rock!”
No questions asked. Because to him, kindness just looks like that.

💙 A little ripple of kindness all the way from Albufeira, Portugal 🌍❤️

Messages like this remind me why I started Hug Rocks. Even if it doesn’t make it to the map or the official page, it still finds its way into hearts across the world. Kindness travels far beyond what we can see.

Who knows how many days, hearts, and lives this tiny rock will touch next? 💫
