A little while back I posted a poll asking people what was keeping them from booking a sessions. The answer was unanimously, "money".

Hence this summer offer.
Pay what you can sessions.

This offer is available for sessions booked from July 1st- August 31st.

No fixed prices. No pressure. Just real stories, real families, and summer that will be gone before we know it!

Maybe you’ve been waiting for the ā€œright timeā€ — when the money’s there, when life slows down, when things feel more put together.
But the truth is, the right time is probably right now.

This one’s for the folks who feel it — that tug that says ā€œdon’t forget this.ā€ This summer is worth saving.

If money has kept you from booking before, this one’s for you.

šŸ“ø Note: All sessions from this offer may be used for my photography education courses and marketing. By booking, you’re saying yes to that — and I promise to honor your story with the care it deserves.

DM me to grab a spot or ask questions. I can’t wait to see what story we tell together. šŸ¤Ž

To celebrate this season, I've put together a Summer Photoshoot Bucket List filled with ideas that might perfectly capture your family's story – from chalk art to cozy backyard bonfires, and everything in between.
Which of these summer moments are calling your name the loudest? I'd love to know!
Have a different idea I can add to the list? I'd love to hear it!
Ready to tick one off your list and create some beautiful memories with me?

This gorgeous session came in 2 parts. The part where we had a little treat on the backdrop, and the part where Adeline thought my set up was super lame and took us on an adventure instead! šŸ˜‚ Glad we took her direction though. She had the right idea!

Untamed Images is now The Long Way Home.
Stories found along the way.

This rebrand has been on my heart for a while. It’s more than just a name change—it’s a return to what matters most. The long way home is where the real stories live. It’s the slow, scenic route where life isn’t posed or perfect, but beautifully honest.

This name holds everything I’ve always wanted my work to reflect—raw connection, everyday magic, and the quiet kind of love that doesn’t need staging.
Because the truth is, the best stories aren’t found in grand moments.
They’re found along the way.

Same photographer. Same heart. Same storytelling, memory-keeping, slow-down-and-soak-it-in kind of soul—just with a name that finally feels like mine.

Thanks for walking this road with me. I’m so dang glad you’re here.

My kids were my original muse in this business venture.

They made me want to learn to document moments in an authentic way. They made me want to document the way a moment FEELS. That's the whole point of a photograph, right? So we can feel that moment again and again. Every time we see it. There's nothing sweeter than joy, and to be able to hold on to that feeling is such an amazing gift.

The thing is though, that it's easy to get away from that in this line of work. It's easy to run through the motions in a photoshoot and get a good picture out of it. A couple cute sweaters and an obligatory smile for the yearly family photos. It's super easy to find some good inspo on Pinterest and try to mimic it. But that's not really what this is about or why I got into it.

The feelings that come from shoving everyone in fall sweaters when it's still 90 degrees out -no matter how cute the sweaters are- aren't usually great, and as hard as I try to avoid it, It shows. It shows in my work.

I've felt my business move in the direction of "fall photographer" over the last couple of years and I've finally grabbed hold of the reigns.

So I'm making a promise to myself and to my clients, to only document moments with feeling. That means that things are going to look a little different during the intake process and during our shoots together. That's simply because I can't really document a feeling if there isn't one!

That's the goal. To make sure my photoshoots evoke a feeling worth holding on to.

Transitioning my business to better align with that goal is going to be an adventure and I hope you guys come along for the ride!

I can't wait to share more about what that's going to look like and I'm looking forward to your feedback! How do you guys feel about it?

Love you all for your loyalty and support!

-Courtney
