You're leading your marketing team and every day you're thinking "how can I do more with less?'

Budgets are shrinking. And, NOT advertising is not the answer. So now what?

Here's what we'd ask you to think about...how can you go DEEPER instead of WIDER?

Why not define authenticity by the depth of connection, not the volume of the signal?

In this 60-minute session, we’ll audit your current messaging, platforms, goals and you’ll leave with a clear blueprint for what to say, where to say it, and how to measure impact.

What's on our mind today?

On the final day of we want to encourage you to ACT.

The digital world is confusing. The social media world is confusing.

Let's face it, the SCREEN WORLD is confusing.

One of our at OTR Media Group is FAIRNESS: "making good decisions for the business without harming anyone."

This is why we have a strong opposition to propaganda and why we work so hard to preach the good gospel of media literacy in these social media streets.

Propaganda HARMS people. Listen to our friend and champion Renee Hobbs break it all the way down.

When was the last time you created something for the sake of CREATING.

That's it.

Not for your job, or a school assignment.

Not as a lead generator or to get engagement for your students.

Not as a part of your presentation or for your small business.

JUST to make SOMETHING.

Food. Art. Music. A candle or cup. A game or a walking stick.

One of the things we think we overlook about having access to a camera in our pocket, is that instead of pictures of our food or our kids soccer tournament...we can use that camera to MAKE something.

Our theme today is CREATE. Today, our thoughts are on our work in Blackville, SC with the South Carolina Arts Commission Blackville Community Development Corporation and The Phoenix Project back in 2024. We taught a group of adults and seniors how to make community documentaries. Here is a recap of that work.

Made something in the last 90 days? Drop it in the comments and let's check it out!

Hey you.

Before you accept any message—from a news story to a social media post—pause and think: Is this true? Is it fair?

Take a moment before you share or believe or like or comment...
..on anything.

"Do we need a podcast? It's so many freakin' podcasts..."

"Its just so confusing..."

Today, our thoughts are with the work we did in 2024 with The Opportunity Agenda

Before 2023, we had never heard of them either!

For 20 years, TOA has shaped the narrative landscape, helping countless organizations reach millions of Americans with research-backed campaigns that drove tangible change.

Their tools, trainings, and cultural strategies have supported experts, advocates, creatives, and communicators in successfully telling powerful stories about the issues they work on and in pushing for solutions that unite their communities.

After Sherard Shekeese Duvall became a part of their Cohort in 2023, he brought us in to work on a series of strategic cultural narratives that could help minority communities across the SouthEast engage authentically with their audience around civic engagement from a place that was honest, human, relevant and real.

We worked with a community of African-American, Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, and Latino research groups, writers, voiceover talent, on-camera talent across London, Beijing, Georgia and here in South Carolina for 6 months on a narrative for each community that centered on one cultural point that is critical for minority communities - family legacy.

Shout out to Ginna Green, everyone at The Opportunity Agenda, Victoria Hunyh and Georgia AAPI Hub , Daniela Rodriguez and Christina Magana with Migrant Equity SouthEast Tanya Rodriguez-Hodges and Flourish with LCD, Kieu-Diem Tran, Dahae Kim, Yili Fan and everyone that helped us bring this project to life!

Although TOA is sunsetting this December, our thoughts are with the entire staff during this time. We salute your work, your commitment to Democracy and civic engagement.

Thank you!

We know.

You're reading this and you're feeling a bit overwhelmed from juggling multiple channels of content, on a limited budget. And you JUST finished looking at a competitors content that's exactly the kind of high-impact content you wanna do but can't afford.

OR

You just watched some content and you're like, "why our content don't connect like that?" "How can we do more stuff like that?"

Sometimes it's not about the budget. Sometimes it's not about making more content.

Sometimes it's about making content that feels real to your audience.

And that can be tough to do when you're trying to navigate brand guidelines OR that - "but what will people think?" - voice in your head.

Authentic works. Let us show you why.
