📣 TODAY IS MIDLANDS GIVES DAY!

Today we’re celebrating Central Carolina Community Foundation Midlands Gives Day — the biggest day of giving in our region! It’s your chance to make a real, local impact by supporting causes you care about most. 🥳

💡 Who should you give to?

There are many amazing 501(c)(3) organizations participating — including several that directly support our shelter! One we’re especially grateful for:

🐶 The Animal Mission — the official nonprofit partner of Columbia Animal Services. They work tirelessly to reduce shelter overpopulation through affordable spay/neuter programs, community outreach, and lifesaving resources.

Their Darla Fund is a donation-based emergency medical fund that helps shelter pets receive specialized care for treatable injuries.

Update 5/27/26: All dogs for 5/1 transport have gone to foster!

We have many dogs we are still working on rescue and transport for so we have other shorter term opportunities in the works!

We have our regular foster program and CAMP CAS (2-3 week foster) available as well.

Please continue to spread the word as we still need to open more kennels for a large hoarding case coming in this week.

Several dogs have rescue commitment with transport scheduled on Friday 5/1/2026. Help us open up their kennel and save another life!
