I am collecting stories about the Athens County Public Libraries this Summer for a podcast episode and Oral History Time Capsules, too! Want to share your story? Thanks to WTAP Television for coming out to our big check presentation from the Ohio History Connection History Fund Grant! This will support Invisible Ground sites at the Campus Martius and Ohio River Museum for the Putnam House / Campus Martius Stockade and the Ohio Company Land Office in Marietta!

The Ohio History Connection and the Ohio History Fund presented a $15,300 check Monday afternoon to Friends of the Museums Inc. at the Campus Martius Museum to support a new augmented-reality project aimed at bringing Marietta’s history to life for visitors.

Exciting news! Campus Martius Museum and Invisible Ground have received a Ohio History Fund Grant from the Ohio History Connection to create two Immersive Historic Sites in Marietta, Ohio for the Rufus Putnam House and Ohio Company Land Office, two of the oldest buildings in Ohio, dating to 1788 and on the grounds of ! will augmented reality to allow visitors to see historic images of these two buildings via the Invisible Ground app. A podcast episode is also part of the project that will focus on the two buildings, the museum, and the important role the played in the history of our region, the Northwest Territory, and the early United States. We were one of 15 grants awarded via the Ohio History Connection’s Ohio History Fund! Look for those later this year. Erin Augenstein from and Brian Koscho from had a chance to celebrate at Statehood Day at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus!
