Two aspiring teachers in Ohio, with unique and inspiring backgrounds, were among the winners. Grove City Teacher Pedro Simono Almonte was one of the Ohio winners.

A major investment in youth mental health services is coming to Grove City. The Ohio Controlling Board has approved the release of $1,162,800 in capital funds to support the renovation of a behavioral health residential facility operated by I Am Boundless, Inc. The funding, approved at the board’s October 20, 2025 meeting, covers the state’s share of the project through the Community Assistance program for behavioral health facilities.
