🚨 Ohio Drought Update | October 23, 2025
The latest Drought Monitor shows drought conditions worsening across northern and northwest Ohio, while southern and eastern parts of the state remain in better shape.
Here’s what’s new this week:
Extreme drought (D3) continues across portions of northwest Ohio, especially near the Toledo area.
Severe to moderate drought (D2–D1) has expanded through parts of north-central and western Ohio.
Abnormally dry (D0) conditions persist across much of central and southern Ohio, but far southern and southeastern counties remain mostly drought-free for now.
💧Recent rain hasn’t been enough to make a dent in the long-term dryness across the north. Soil moisture and streamflows remain below normal.
đź“… The next update will be released Thursday, October 30th.
