Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Columbus Afrocentric Early College to deliver our Unstoppable 100 gift basket to an extraordinary woman—Ms. Chiquita N. Toure, affectionately known as “His Excavator.”

As a veteran educator and librarian of nearly 30 years, Ms. Toure has dedicated her life to empowering students through storytelling, literacy, and truth-telling. From teaching ELA to leading poetry teams and book clubs, her impact goes far beyond the classroom. She equips students not only with research skills but with the confidence to write their lives and see themselves in the pages they read.

Her work as a collaborator, curator, and culture broker has earned her numerous grants and accolades—including the prestigious Helen Jenkins Davis Award in 2018 for her commitment to social justice in Columbus City Schools.

It was such an honor to recognize and celebrate a woman who continues to carve out safe spaces for students to express, explore, and evolve. Thank you, Ms. Toure, for being a true role model and an unstoppable force in education and advocacy. We can’t wait to

Cover Story Incorporating iconic landmarks from my personal journey, the cover connects my own experiences with those of the women featured in the book. The Kenyatta Conference Center, located in my city of birth, symbolizes my African roots and the strength of my foundation. The Big Ben and the London Bus represent my first stop on my journey to America, as I traveled with British Airways—marking a significant moment in my global journey.

The Statue of Liberty, standing strong in New York City, is a powerful symbol of freedom and opportunity, representing the immigrant experience. It’s the entry point for many seeking a new life in the U.S., just as I sought new opportunities on my own path.

Finally, the Eiffel Tower—a place I long to visit—reminds us of the global dreams that connect us all. These landmarks not only represent significant milestones in my personal journey but also embody the interconnectedness of our experiences as women on a shared path of empowerment and growth.

The Story Behind the Cover Design: PART One : It took me while to finally land on The cover design of the Unstoppable 100 Coffee Table Book cover; I wanted it to be a reflection of both my personal journey and the mission behind the book. I didn’t want to define what it means to be “unstoppable” with one specific image, look or person. Instead, I chose images of abstract women in motion. Each one bold, fearless, and carving her own path—just like the women and girls in this book.

Each figure is bold, fashion-forward, and in motion—representing individuality and the freedom to express yourself in your own unique way. As someone who loves fashion, I wanted the cover to celebrate style without putting women into a box. Just like fashion, being unstoppable looks different on everyone.

The flowing paths and vibrant lines across the cover reflect the many journeys women and girls are making around the world—breaking barriers, chasing dreams, and creating impact. It’s a visual tribute to the fearless spirit that lives in all of us and a reminder that there’s no single path to greatness

When I first began this journey, I didn’t set out with a perfectly drawn map or a step-by-step plan. I was simply following a feeling—a pull toward something meaningful, something rooted in passion. Over time, I discovered that the most vibrant paths are rarely the most straightforward. They’re winding, filled with detours and surprises, and often led by heart more than logic. I’ve met women and girls who are dreamers, doers, rule-breakers, and trailblazers. Some live boldly in the spotlight, others quietly shape the world in classrooms, kitchens, courtrooms, and corner offices. What unites them isn’t just their accomplishments—it’s their courage to create lives centered on purpose, not perfection.

This book is a celebration of that courage. A collection of voices and visions, woven together by the belief that when we build our lives around what we love, something extraordinary happens. Whether it’s a home, a career, or a movement, it becomes a reflection of who we are at our core.

If I’ve learned anything along the way, it’s this: There’s no single way to show up in the world. But when you lead with love and live with intention, the life you build can’t help but be beautiful.

Oh wow, what a weekend! I am still recovering from all the excitement of the Rule Breakers screening and awards—what an unforgettable way to close out Women’s Month!

The energy in the room was electric, the conversations were powerful, and the inspiration was off the charts. The Rule Breakers film left everyone in awe—it was more than just a movie; it was a movement. A bold reminder of the power of resilience, courage, and breaking barriers. The stories of fearless women pushing boundaries sparked deep reflection, emotional moments, and unstoppable motivation to keep paving the way forward.

A huge thank you to our amazing emcee, Ifrah Aliawl, for keeping us engaged and making the event flow so beautifully.
