I'm off to Gramercy Books Bexley to pick up Maggie Smith's new picture book "My Thought Having Wings" to complement my copy of Connie Schultz's new picture book, "Lola and the Troll." I'm thrilled to welcome both of them to "That Word Chat," a Zoom-based video chat show for lovers of all things lexical.

You can join us at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Valentine's Day.

We'll ask Schultz and Smith about penning debut picture books, and there is so much more to talk about: Schultz is a Pulitzer-winning columnist and Smith wrote what was called "the official poem of 2016."

ACES: The Society for Editing Mourns the Loss of a Valued Member, Mentor, Friend, and Editor- Henry Fuhrmann.

It is with great sadness that we must announce the death of board member and ACES Education Fund President Henry Fuhrmann.

Henry’s family announced that he died Wednesday after a brief and sudden illness. He was 65.

ACES will be committed to honoring Henry by continuing his work advocating for editors as well as diversity and inclusion, and helping student and mid-career editors develop their careers. Our hearts are broken by the loss of not only a great editor, mentor and leader but also a person we befriended, admired and loved.

Looking forward to this one, featuring two great communicators.
