In 2009, CEO/ Founder Darienne Jordan came up with a concept for an audio production company that would create quality audio works and introduce the world to unique and undiscovered musical talents. As her media education continued and expanded, she branched out to include video and film work. After a few years doing of freelance work, in order to build her portfolio, Darienne felt it was time to make the quality work of DKEJ Media Productions official and available to the world. Darienne's desire is to provide her audience with quality and unique media works that are socially, politically and culturally relevant. Her slogan, "Press Play," dares the audience to sit back, relax and enjoy the enriching and quality experience of a DKEJ Media production.

Continuing with our sound department introductions, next we have our Boom Operator, Pierson!

Pierson Blount is a production sound recordist and sound designer based in central Virginia. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Cinema & Television Arts from Elon University in 2024, where he discovered his passion and skill for audio. Since graduating, Pierson has worked on several film sets and will have his audio featured at film festivals including GenreBlast X, Silver Screen Film Festival, and Direct Monthly Online Film Festival, and the 2027 Sundance Film Festival. He has even had the privilege of capturing the sounds of Virginia’s historic Luray Caverns and their Great Stalacpipe Organ! Pierson is excited to work as a Boom Operator for DKEJ Media and deliver some spine-tingling audio for their latest horror film!

We are also very excited to work with Pierson on this project!

More Lumberjack crew introductions!! Next up, our sound recordist, Kani!

Kani Narci is a Baltimore-based location sound mixer and production sound professional with a degree in Communications and a concentration in Broadcast Journalism from Bowie State University. He has worked across narrative, commercial, live, and independent productions, with a focus on capturing clean, intentional sound on set. With a background in both production and storytelling, Kani approaches sound as more than a technical role, understanding how it works alongside performance and image to help tell a story.

We are thrilled to have Kani on board and leading our sound department for this film!

Next up in our crew introductions is our 1st Assistant Director, Valeria!

Valeria is a Bolivian-American actress/producer based in the DMV area, known for bringing passion, authenticity, and character to every role on and off screen. Raised by a single, immigrant mother, Valeria’s foundation in hard work, compassion, and resilience are values that drive her journey as a performer. Valeria discovered her love for storytelling from an early age, where she witnessed her mother work in front and behind the camera in different productions in Bolivia. Her mother’s passion for the arts and the connection she felt for storytelling from an early age laid the groundwork for her confident performance. Collaborators have praised Valeria’s work ethic and commitment to her craft and appreciated her dedication to bringing the vision to life. Outside of acting, Valeria also expresses her creativity through producing her projects, screenwriting, and directing short films, as well as supporting various productions in the area.

We are beyond excited to have Valeria on the team! Stay tuned, as we will share more crew introductions in the coming days!

We are so excited to share that we have successfully hired our first round of key crew members for The Lumberjack production! Today, we would like to begin introducing a couple of them to you.

First up, our Production Manager, Beverly!

Driven by her passion for storytelling, Beverly has taken on diverse roles in film and video production, progressing from entry-level positions as a production assistant to producing and directing documentaries, editing feature films, and creating music videos and short films. Her IMDb credits include work as a Unit Production Manager for Hulu, Production Coordinator for Hallmark and Lifetime, and Production Coordinator Assistant. Further solidifying her commitment to the craft, Beverly graduated Magna Cum Laude in communication from Kaplan University, refining her skills as a producer and director dedicated to excellence in every project she undertakes.

We are thrilled to have Beverly on board with us for this journey!

MEET THA DIRECTOR!!

Get to know a little bit about the writer and director of our project. D has been in the filmmking space since 2011, starting with the award-winning student film she collaborated on. Since then, she has participated in multipe award winning projects and directed a few of her own - short films and music videos alike. As well, they have had a short screenplay longlisted in a competition. They have a passion for centering the most marginalized voices in their stories, as well as telling a story that is equally creepy and mind-bending.
