“Your body is a temple.”

Yep. That’s God’s Word, and I’m not arguing with it. 🙏🏼😂

But if we’re being honest…
Mine is currently giving more “bouncy castle that’s slowly deflating.” 🤣🎈

Still a temple.

Just… under renovation. 🚧😂

And after everything this body has been through, I’m pretty grateful for it. ❤️‍🩹

Does your pastor ride a mechanical bull? 🤠🐂

Does your pastor join Tug-of-War? 💪🏼😂

Ours does! 🙌🏼

Pastor Brian took on the bull and Pastor Tom took on Tug-of-War at today’s Labor Day Picnic!

Just another reason I love my church family. ❤️⛪️

We know how to worship… and we definitely know how to have fun together! 🥰

I look at this picture and think about all the moments I could have missed. 🥹❤️

This is my daughter. And because of my second chance, I get to be here for all of this.

Her engagement. 💍
Her graduation from DPT school. 🎓
Her birthdays. 🎉
The bridal appointments. 👰🏽‍♀️
The wedding planning. 🥰
And ultimately… her wedding day. 🤍

But it could have turned out so differently.

On April 11, 2025, my heart stopped. 💔

I could have missed all of this.

And that changes the way you look at life.

The pictures. The laughter. The celebrations. Even the chaos of wedding planning. 😂

I don’t take any of it for granted anymore.

They’re not ordinary moments. They’re gifts.

God gave me a second chance, and one of the greatest gifts of that second chance has been getting to watch my daughter step into this beautiful season of her life.

I get to be her mom through it all. 🥰

I get to be here.

And I am so incredibly grateful. ❤️‍🩹

My life could have ended on that highway.

Instead, God gave me more chapters.

And I intend to treasure every single one.

Thank You, God, for my second chance—and for letting me be here for her. 🙏🏼❤️

Before the notifications.
Before the to-do list.
Before the noise of the day…

Talk to God. 🙏🏼

There’s something different about starting your morning in His presence. It doesn’t mean the day will be easy - but it reminds me that I don’t have to face any of it alone.

Give Him your worries.
Give Him your plans.
Give Him your gratitude.
Give Him your heart.

Start there. ❤️

I know what a flatline looks like.

I’ve seen one up close.

On April 11, 2025, my heart stopped.

Not metaphorically. My heart actually stopped. 💔

There was CPR. AED shocks. A fight for my life on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike.

And then…

the beat went on. ❤️‍🩹

So when I wear this shirt, I don’t just see a graphic. I see my testimony.

God gave me another heartbeat. Another morning. Another chance.

And I’m not wasting it.

I’m going to show up:

• Where God calls me to serve
• For myself — at the gym
• For the people I love
• For my friends
• For the students I teach

I’m going to show up for LIFE.

Because I’ve been given a second chance at it.

And as long as this heart keeps beating…

I’m showing up. ❤️

Flying solo at the gym today… 😎

Just me, myself, and 95 lbs on the bench press. 💪🏼🔥

Turns out I make a pretty solid gym bro. 😂

No gym buddy? No problem. I showed up, loaded the bar, put in the work, and got stronger.

There’s something pretty empowering about realizing you can be your own motivation, your own accountability, and your own gym bro. 😉

And honestly… I’m learning I can do this on my own, too. 💪🏼

After putting in the work, this gym bro knew it was time for some recovery, so I finished with a little HydroMassage. 😌💦

Sunday meal prep for the work week ahead! 🙌🏼🎃

I’m trying to make it easier to stick with my healthy choices during the week, especially on busy work mornings. If breakfast is already made and waiting for me, I have one less excuse to grab something quick that doesn’t really fuel my body.

So this week, I’m making Pumpkin Protein Overnight Oats! 🥣🎃

They’re creamy, cozy, packed with protein, and honestly taste like fall in a jar. 🍂🤎 And the best part? I can make them ahead of time and have breakfast ready to grab and go.

Because this whole healthy lifestyle thing I’m working on isn’t about being perfect. It’s about making choices ahead of time that make it easier to stay consistent. 💪🏼

Want the recipe? Drop a 🎃 in the comments and I’ll share it!

Yesterday, I had my first colonoscopy.

Honestly, I was nervous. I know I should have done it years ago (I lost my dad to colon cancer 20 years ago), but I had been putting it off.

But God has given me a second chance at life, and I’m learning that part of that second chance is stewarding the body and life He has entrusted to me - even when that means doing the things I’d rather avoid.

Yesterday morning, while lying on the bed waiting for the procedure, I prayed.

I prayed that God would be with me, carry me through it, and keep me safe.

And then I had to let go. There was nothing else I could do but trust Him.

And you know what?

He did.

The procedure was a relatively positive experience. I had an amazing doctor who made me feel safe and cared for. That evening, I found myself praying again - not asking for anything, but simply thanking God for being with me, carrying me through, and keeping me safe.

Far above doesn’t mean far away.

God is greater than anything I can comprehend, but He is not distant from me.

He was with me in my anxiety. He was with me through the procedure. And He was with me afterward when I could finally breathe and say, Thank You.

Sometimes faith isn’t about being fearless.

Sometimes it’s being afraid, praying anyway, and trusting God to carry you through.

And yesterday, He did. ❤️

Tonight, I saw myself differently. ❤️

I expected to see weight loss. I didn't expect to see so much life.

The picture on the left was taken just weeks after my heart attack.

The picture on the right was taken tonight—just a simple selfie, sitting on my bed before going to sleep.

When I put them side by side, I saw the difference.

My eyes are brighter.

My skin is clearer.

My face looks healthier.

But more than anything...

I look alive.

And after almost losing my life, I don't think there is any greater transformation than that.

There was a time when simply being here wasn't guaranteed.

But here I am.

Still healing.

Still getting stronger.

Still showing up.

The woman on the left survived.

The woman on the right is learning how to truly live. ❤️🙏🏼✨

NON-SCALE VICTORY 🙌🏼

The scale fluctuates, but moments like this don’t lie.

I used to sit in the driver’s seat with barely any room to spare. Today, I looked down and realized just how much space there is between me and the steering wheel now. 😳✨

That space is built on consistency, showing up on hard days, and choosing myself.

The scale might fluctuate.

But THIS?

I can see it.
I can feel it.
And I’m celebrating it. ❤️

Progress isn’t always measured in pounds. Sometimes it’s measured in the space you’ve created to live your life.
