At last night’s special called board meeting, Mayor Ehrhardt announced the Como Public Trust Initiative. The initiative, which intends to help restore public trust, has been created in response to the recent discovery of payroll tax return and payment deficiencies dating back at least seven years.

The mayor has called a special meeting of the board of aldermen for Wednesday, July 8, at 6pm for the purpose of:

1) receiving the Mayor’s Report regarding federal payroll tax matters, and

2) considering the engagement of accounting and other professional services and related corrective actions.

Please note that due to the hot temperature we will have new reduced hours of 8:00am to 12:00pm through the end of August. Thank you for your understanding. In addition, I mentioned we would draw a name each month for a gift for participation and the winner for May is Steven Graff. Mr. Graff, please come by on Saturday to receive your gift. The town board and mayor will hold a special called meeting tonight at 6pm at the senior building to appoint an election commissioner.
