Good morning, fans. I have a video for you.

Transcript: Good morning. This is DeafCrafted!

First of all, I wanted to say thank you to everyone for supporting me and helping me reach my first 1,000 followers. This is amazing.

Second of all, I want to share a lot of exciting things. The weather has been gorgeous these last two weeks. The temperatures have been perfect, and the growing conditions have been perfect. I've had to take advantage of that.

At the same time, my plants need to be transplanted into the rows. I just found out my landscaping fabric pins will arrive today, so I'm going to focus on grading most of the morning. We live on a slope, and I want to move more dirt to the future home site before we rent a skid steer to do the final grading and compaction.

Again, I wanted to thank you all for your support.

A few months ago this was just a brush pile.

Today it's the first row.

Every project out here starts the same way: a rough idea, a lot of work, and figuring it out as we go. This row is just the beginning. The next videos will show the process, mistakes, prototypes, and the thought behind turning raw land into a working farm.

For most of my life, I built and renovated homes for other people.

Now we finally bought raw land and are slowly turning it into our own farm and future home.

Everything out here is being built little by little. The greenhouse, chicken coop, gardens, future house plans, and all the chaos in between.

I’m also deaf, which means I experience and learn a lot of things differently than most people. That’s a big reason why I started making these videos. I want to show people that being deaf doesn’t stop me from building, creating, fixing, farming, or chasing a bigger dream.

Some videos will be serious.
Some educational.
Some complete disasters.

And apparently… some end with bloopers.

Finally got my first egg today. Cracked it open right there and had to try it fresh. No store, no middleman, just straight from our coop to the pan. This is why we’re doing all of this.

Last year we started from scratch.

Reality hit hard.
