I've been dealing with a broken molar & navigating the healthcare h3llscape many disabled folks know all too well. Finding an option has been tough, but I'm hanging in there & saving up.
The possibility of a gfm has been suggested but I can't justify that personally, some people need support way more than I do, far faster. I won't die if I don't get it fixed asap. There are people on GFM who need help like, right now, or else they won't be safe, healthy, or worse.

So I'm nursing it for now, which means I may need to take days off far more often than I want to because my face becomes too swollen & tender to do makeup. The situation will work it's way out. Things always do.

Returning, right before the holidays has been wild, but I wouldn't change it for anything! I'll admit I toyed with the idea of starting a brand new page (thanks, algorithm), but I dont want to lose any of you. you've all been ride or die for me. I cannot thank you enough so i'm not going to ask you to follow to a new page.

Friendsgiving2024: Kitchen Avoider Meets Foodie Life

When you're the only "wife" in the squad & suddenly become the designated holiday cook, strategy mode activates. I carried a 21lb frozen turkey in my backpack (shoulders STILL screaming), then slow-roasted that beauty to perfection.

Confession: Total kitchen rebellion happened. Store-bought mashed potatoes? Check. Mac & cheese from a box? Absolutely. Pies that didn't touch my mixer? You bet!

Pro holiday survival strategy: Strategic laziness. Sometimes showing love means focusing your energy where it matters most. I focused most of my energy on that slow-roasted turkey while shamelessly deploying store-bought reinforcements. Mashed potatoes? Store-bought. Mac & cheese? Box squad. Pies? Not today, Pinterest.
Sometimes feeding your friends isn't about perfection—it's about showing up & filling bellies.
