August issues have arrived! Our little team is packaging them up to get them shipped out this week.

Hi everyone!

The August issue of Kaleidoscope was just sent to print! If you've preordered a copy, you should be receiving yours towards the end of July/beginning of August.

Submissions are now open for the January 2026 issue AND pre-orders are also open for the January 2026 issue!

All pre-orders and submissions for January's issue should be placed by December 1st, 2025.

Multiple submissions are allowed, but just be to sure to put one per e-mail.

FAQs:

Q: What is Kaleidoscope?
A: Kaleidoscope is a quarterly literary 'zine put together by a group of homeschool students, ages 10-15, in South Florida.

Q: Who can submit to Kaleidoscope?
A: We happily accept any short stories, essays, poetry, photography, art (of any medium) that you've originally created and would like to share. We welcome submissions from homeschoolers PK-12th grade across the globe!

Q: Do I have to publish my name and information?
A: No! When you submit your art work, include your artist information however you best see fit. You can use an alias or pen name, too, if you'd like! Your name, age, location, grade, etc. is up to your discretion.

Q: How many pieces may I submit?
A: You are free to submit as many pieces as you'd like! We just ask that each submission comes in it's own e-mail for organizational purposes.

Q: Is this a secular publication?
A: Yes, Kaleidoscope is a secular publication.

Q: Will my art not make it into an issue?
A: When your art is received and filed, a staff member will e-mail you to let you know. As long as it fits the guidelines of the publication, we strive to include everyone's work in our issue. If there's an issue with word count (like short stories) or you've submitted 20+ photography images, a staff member will reach out to you to let you know and work with you on proper edits. However, we strive to include all submissions in each issue.

Q: Is there a fee to receive an issue of Kaleidoscope?
A: We print Kaleidoscope to order and do not make anything off of this endeavor. We want this to be an inclusive publication and try to keep it as low cost as possible (printing fees, shipping fees, etc). Each issue is $10 shipped.

Q: How do I order?

Q: How do I submit?

Kaleidoscope Literary 'Zine is now on Facebook to provide better updates for those who requested more reminders on ordering and submission dates.
