It’s hard to overcome the torque advantage of a chain and sprocket, our hub motors need massive current to make the same torque, about 5x. The gearing also has a disadvantage though of limiting top speed to around 60 mph. There are tradeoffs between hub drive and mid drive, which do you prefer?

The thing still has plenty of room for more power. With bigger controllers we can definitely push for a sub 4 second time!
