Save Our Youth/Speak Up is an incredible organization, offering vital resources and mentorship to inner-city youth. Treveles D. Jesse Jackson Sr., Rev.

Despite growing up in extreme poverty in an area known as Sugar Ditch, he defied the odds and overcame numerous challenges to become a successful entrepreneur. Treveles built a multimillion-dollar business, earning the title of

“King of Sugar Ditch” for his remarkable achievements. At the age of 16, Treveles served as the Youth President of the Memphis Gospel Association, showcasing exceptional leadership skills that contributed to entrepreneurial development in his community. Under his guidance, the organization’s membership grew from 50 to over 300 in just two years. By age 20, he accepted his call into the ministry, and at 25, he became the Youth Pastor at Temple of Christ Baptist Church. Today, he is a faithful member of The Life Church. Treveles’ story of perseverance and triumph caught the attention of national media, leading to features on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1991 and 2012. As a passionate advocate for the fight against poverty, he has spoken to millions, sharing his experiences and insights on financial literacy. His influence has reached the highest levels of leadership, having spoken before prominent figures such as President Bill Clinton, Congressman Rev. Al Sharpton, and Civil Rights icons like Coretta Scott King, Rosa Parks, and James Meredith. Today, Treveles continues to inspire others as a motivational speaker, dedicating his time to mentorship programs for inner-city youth, encouraging them to pursue their dreams despite difficult circumstances. He is happily married to Shronda Simmons, and together they have two children, Dewan and Shaniah, as well as two foster children, Jy’Mirah, and Shyaria. Treveles holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from LeMoyne-Owen College and remains a dedicated philanthropist committed to uplifting his community.
