This week we celebrate two incredible women whose impact on ACTC will be felt for years to come. 💙

Since 2010, Nan Nethery, Educator Preparation Instructor, and Tila Johnson, Health Sciences Instructor, have poured their hearts into their classrooms, their students, and our school family. Through their wisdom, hard work, compassion, and unwavering dedication, they have helped shape countless futures while building lasting relationships and friendships along the way.

Their legacy reaches far beyond the walls of ACTC. The lives they have touched, the encouragement they have given, and the example they have set will continue to inspire generations of students to come.

While words could never fully express how much they mean to us or how deeply they will be missed, we are incredibly thankful for the years they have devoted to ACTC and to the students they loved so well.

We wish them both the very best retirement filled with family, friends, relaxation, and endless joy. Thank you, Nan and Tila, for your service, your friendship, and the lasting difference you have made.

🦋 Celebrating something really special… birthdays made brighter! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to the students from the Alcorn Career and Technology Center’s National Technical Honor Society for blessing our families in such a thoughtful and meaningful way.

These incredible students partnered with Home of El Roi to collect and assemble birthday boxes filled with everything needed to celebrate: cake mix, icing, candles, streamers, birthday hats and crowns, and even small gift cards for a special treat. 🎂✨

Because of their generosity and creativity, our moms now have a simple yet powerful way to celebrate their children by creating moments of joy, dignity, and lasting memories. For some of our children, a birthday at the Home of El Roi may be the first time they've ever had a birthday celebration.

We are so grateful for this partnership and for a community that shows up in such meaningful ways. 💛

We wrapped up ACTC Teacher Appreciation Week with the perfect throwback celebration! Our amazing counselor treated the staff to a fun popcorn bar filled with sweet treats and snacks to end the week on a high note. 💛🎉

Last week has been all about celebrating the incredible instructors who pour into their students each and every day. Their dedication, encouragement, and hard work make a lasting impact on the future workforce, and we are so thankful for each of them! 👏📚🛠️

Today we proudly recognized our Students of the Quarter, Star Traits Students, and those with Perfect Attendance! Your hard work, dedication, character, and commitment do not go unnoticed, and we are so proud of each of you for shining bright this quarter.

Our celebration was filled with certificates, popcorn, cookies, cupcakes, and drinks as we honored these outstanding students and their achievements!

ACTC is proud to recognize the outstanding students who recently earned their OSHA10 Certifications! 🎉👏

Students from our second-year programs in Engineering, Law & Public Safety, Industrial Maintenance, Construction, and Automotive successfully participated in the OSHA10 training program. This certification equips students with valuable workplace safety knowledge and skills that will benefit them as they continue their education and enter the workforce.

We are excited about the opportunities this achievement will provide for these students and proud of their dedication and hard work!
