As predicted here at Southern California Weather Force many days prior for you concrete and roofer workers... Marie did indeed give us rainfall ... Like I tell my rivals ... this is only a taste of how you will see the accuracy here for when the real storms hit this season ... itll be like Doc Brown on my side as a scientist ... strong fronts with damaging winds etc so "When this baby hits 88 mph... you're going to see some serious *hit"

This was a RAIDEN STORM PATTERN ... I said September 6th many many days ago possibly even 10 days ago and here we are.... Im only getting started for when the real storm fronts hit ...If you are new.. welcome to Jurassic Pawk....lol

Southern California Weather Force has issued a Thunderstorm Watch effective now for Sunday September 6 2026...

Hurricane Marie is shoving strong upper lift into the area. Between the monsoon ridge and upper low... these dynamics will create upper lift. Models here do show a small area extending from Los Angeles.. Orange ... and San Bernardino County with the Western Inland Empire following...

This upper lift will enhance activity from light rain to areas of heavier rain and a good chance of thunderstorms ...

An upper dynamic from Hurricane Marie will move over Southern California on Sunday producing rain and if instability is available a chance of isolated thunderstorms.

This is the predictive radar for Sunday morning at 10am ... rain should start by 3am and go for 12 hours in a window ...

I never said direct impact from Marie I said effects from the system so it was correct

AZWF TORNADO WATCH ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS ... FOR AUGUST 30-31, 2026

Areas: Yavapai County, includes the entire Prescott zones ... Maricopa County ... Includes the Phoenix Valleys ... outside areas include Pinal, Tucson zones with Gila and Flagstaff ...

PETS: Medications will be needed, but this is a prolonged event for the watch area ... There are no major but expect evening to early morning Monday

A trough in California is producing the upper lift with the upper ridge to the east. Sandwhiched between them is this watch area, which means extreme lifting this afternoon, evening, and especially overnight. While it may seem clear at the moment, understand dynamics change fast and I'm directly targeting Maricopa County and Prescott ... today and OVERNIGHT until 9am on Monday.

You all in the watch box can be certain of strobe lightning tonight ...

This is a prolonged event where shear will be available for tornadoes... including damaging winds ... large hail ... flooding ...

Affected Zones ... Coconino, Yavapai, Gila, Central to Eastern half of Maricopa Counties ... Pinal County ... Eastern half of Pima County. These include the metros of Flagstaff, Prescott, Phoenix/Mesa/Chander/Fountain Hills ... San Tan Valley ... Florence, Casa Grande, and the Tucson Metro and surrounding zones ...

Discussion: Very strong instability will work with the ridge of high pressure western periphery. It is a classic monsoon setup where storms will rapidly form in the watch area ... moving to the north to northwest at times ... but outflow from the Tucson storms this evening / night will bring a I-10 riding event, meaning storms/dust from Tucson's storms will ride I-10 into Pinal County and eventually into the Phoenix north to east valley forecast zones.

The strongest area will be the Yavapai zones today ... target would be Prescott, Chino Valley, and Paulden forecast zones ...
