We paid close to $300 for about 60 sheets and now they're trying to charge close to $3,000 for just five sheets 😭💀🫰🏽

The Corpus Christi Water department is blocking us from monitoring when new large volume users are coming online.

We caught the crypto mine on McKenzie street when they first came online through water use data that had been provided through a public information request. They’re now choosing when to make this data affordable to regular residents.

We paid close to $300 for about 60 spreadsheets last year and now they’re trying to charge us close to $3,000 for about 5 sheets.

They don’t want the public to know who is using the most water and when they’re coming online. This all made me realize how blind yall are going into all this.

They've been scrambling to find new water sources to meet industry's unrealistic demands for water since the project was killed last month. Did you know industry pays a fee to opt out of drought restrictions? It has created an unsustainable demand for water that keeps compromising our supply.
