Crazy how as soon as the Tropical Moisture hit Land it went P**F... LOL

This is common with Tropical Systems as land has lower Moisture availability but to see it just disappear almost immediately is wild..

The convection was looking SOLID in the Gulf and then as soon as it hit South Texas....... GONE

The tropical storm force gusts will occur with the mid-level circulation, not the naked swirl the NHC has marked well northeast.
40 to 50 mph gusts will be likely this evening from Port Mansfield, TX to Port Lavaca, TX.
No impacts at all will be felt northeast of Lake Jackson, TX.

There is a BUNCH of Lightning headed towards the Texas Coastline. ⚡️⚡️⛈️

Most of the Moisture is still on the South/Southwest Side of Bertha.. This will put most of the Rainfall in the Coastal Bend.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is currently active near Lake Jackson, TX & Angleton, Tx area.

Please avoid the Beach as Rip Currents will be likely as the system approaches the Coast of Texas.

Bertha Will Bring a little Rain to the Coastal Bend. 🌧️🌧️

Most of the Moisture is on the Southwest side of the system and with the Center going in around Galveston that would put most of the rain in South Texas.

Nothing too impactful but 2-4 inches of rain is definitely possible.

Tropical Storm Bertha (60 MPH Winds) looks to be heading toward the Houston, TX area at the moment.

Still a slight chance the path will change but more than likely it will be to the North of CC.

Latest on the Tropics. 🌀⤵️

It’s look like Galveston will be landfall for the center of circulation.

This would be after an initial landfall In Louisiana.

Most of the moisture is on the Southwest side of the system which would bring some rain to the Coastal Bend area if this holds true.
