The Ruffin brings big hair and bigger dreams to the stage this weekend, with Tracy Turnblad chasing her dance-show dreams in this beloved musical. Directed by Courtney Calvin with co-director LeighAnn Gomer, the show also runs July 25 and 31, plus Aug. 1 and 2 — so if this weekend doesn't work, you've got more chances.

Head to Veterans Plaza for the last weekly market of the season, packed with dozens of local vendors slinging everything from fresh produce and baked goods to handmade crafts and vinyl designs. After this one, the market shifts to a monthly schedule with dates August 15 and September 19 — so stock up now.
