This is Lynn the Mute Swann. Lynn thinks he's a Canadian Goose and has been in Marshall Lake in North Park near Pittsburgh, Pa since early Spring, always cavorting with whatever geese happen to be around. I'll be curious to see how long he stays as the weather turns colder towards Autumn and Winter!

While at Marshall Lake at North Park near Pittsburgh, Pa today (9-12-2025), I photographed what I though was a Great Blue Heron catching a fish to eat but realized it was just up out of the water when it made the grab. It quickly walked into about a foot deep water with it's prey. Yep, looks like its eating a muskrat!!
