Angela's encouraging word: We live in a fast paced world. Sometimes we just need to slow down, take a deep breath and let the Lord lead us. A lot of times we get in such a hurry that we miss what God is trying to tell us until he gets our attention by slowing us down with an illness or an ailment. In the book by Lisa Terkeurst called "The Best Yes", she says, " Sometimes the greater act of faith is to let God lead us, talk to us, and instruct us." Today I encourage you to slow down and focus on what God is trying to tell you .

Friday fact: Noone will ever know the h-e double hockey sticks that I’ve been through in my life to get where I am today. You could never tie my shoes because you’ve never worn them. Some things that happened in my life were self-inflicted by my bad choices. Those bad choices eventually helped make me the woman God created me to be. I was a late bloomer, but baby.. when God decided to grow me, I sprouted up from His Holy Ghost fertilizer! I refuse to live in the past. I’ve got too much work to do today for the Lord! The Bible says life is just a v***r. At this point I have lived more days on this earth than I have left to live. That is why I choose to look forward and keep my eyes on things above and not of this earth. I encourage you to do the same.

Tuesday truth: We can make our plans, but it is God who chooses our steps. I used to be a person who thought I could control everything, so it was very humbling for God to show me that I don’t control anything. He does.

Late night thoughts and a prayer. My heart is deeply troubled over the jokes being made on the socials regarding the CEO being caught in adultery. It’s not funny. It’s sad. Do y’all not remember what Jesus said, when the woman in the Bible was caught in adultery and her accusers wanted to stone her? He told her accusers, “Let ye who have no sin, cast the first stone.” They all put down their rocks and walked away. Y’all Christians should know that one sin is the same as another. Adultery is the same as lying, gossiping, jealousy, not honoring your parents, and so on. Every one of us is a sinner and likely sin each day. The truth is that if all our sins were put up on a big screen for all the world to see, we wouldn’t be happy about that. I know it’s easy to go along with the world, but again, as Christians, you need to remember that we live in this world, but we are not of this world.
My prayer tonight:
Father God, tonight please forgive me of my sins and cleanse me of all unrighteousness. Lord help me to keep my eyes on You and not on the world. Father, I ask that you would help your people to not be so easily led astray. Lord help them to think of things from above and not things of this earth. Lord renew in us a fresh spirit so that we can be used for your Kingdom. Father, give us another day of life to get things right. Thank you for not taking us out when we have sinned. Thank you for your grace and your mercy. Lord I pray that you would show yourself mighty to all that have made fun of this man caught in adultery and give them the same grace when they are caught in their sin, for your Word says in due season, we will reap what we sow. I love you Lord and I pray all this in the mighty name of your son Jesus the Christ. Amen.

Friday fact: “ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”-2 Corinthians 6:17 (ESV) I thank God for my past because it grew me into someone He is now pleased with. I’m continuing to grow until the day He takes me home.

Thursday truth: I know this is a harsh word, but it’s a true word. If you read the Bible and follow it, then you’ll understand what I’m about to say. You cannot mistreat people, talk ugly to them or hang on to unforgiveness and think God gonna let you into Heaven. You may end up going to hell. Keep on playing with the Lord. Each one of us will stand in judgement in front of Him when we die. I don’t care how much you go to church, or what position you hold there, or even if God called you to pastor, preach or teach; if you don’t treat His folks right, as Pastor Real Talk Kim says, “ you going straight to hell on a slip and slide!
