The City of Crookston Public Works crew will be flushing dead end hydrants this week staring in the Sampson Addition to remove stagnant water, sediment, and deposits. You may experience temporary water pressure loss and weird water smell at the time of the flushing, but this will be temporary and will not last long. Minnesota Citizens for the Arts will be coming to Crookston on Tuesday, Oct 28 . Before this meeting at the Crookston Public Library, they will be taking a walking tour of arts organizations or organizations with public art/murals. The public is welcome to join this tour. The schedule including the tour is as follows:
11:50 a.m. Meet at the Crookston Library, 110 N. Ash St.
12 p.m. Care and Share Pantry, 220 E. 3rd St.
12:30 p.m. Sweetlight Gallery, 119 N. Main St.
12:45 p.m. Studio 110, 110 S. Main St.
1:15 p.m. Queen City Art Center, 124 S. Broadway St.
1:45 p.m. The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council gallery on the 2nd floor of Fournet building, 107 N. Broadway

Since the federal government shutdown is still in effect, the Find Your Wild event at Rydell National Wildlife Refuge scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 11, has been canceled. The public is still able to utilize the trails at the refuge on their own.
