City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center welcomed the first patients Monday in Irvine, bringing to the county a facility where specialized care, diagnostics, prevention, labs, and testing happen all in one place. 🏥

To celebrate the opening, a collaboration between City of Hope and South Coast Plaza, “Hope Is a Masterpiece” brings together five artists who were inspired by the survival stories of patients to create something beautiful on 7-foot letters that spell HOPE. The Meraquas program is open to girls and boys ages 8 to 18, and it includes classes for beginners, training for competitive athletes, and opportunities for older swimmers to perform in water shows.

SHORT-TERM RENTALS IN FOUNTAIN VALLEY...

FV City Council Agenda Item #7 in the Tuesday, 10/4 at 6 p.m. City Council Meeting. “Introduction and First Read of an Ordinance Declaring Existing Law that Short-Term Rentals are Prohibited in the City of Fountain Valley & Increasing Administrative & Criminal Fines for Short-Term Rental & Building Code Violations”, Page 252. (If City Council votes to ban them, there will be a second read and vote in the 10/18 City Council Meeting, then short-term rentals would be effectively banned 30 days after 10/18).

ATTEND the Tuesday, 10/4 at 6 p.m. Fountain Valley City Council Meeting at FV City Hall – 10200 Slater Avenue, Fountain Valley. You may attend & speak in person near the beginning, on agenda items, and towards the end is when you may make your voice heard in person, via Zoom or phone on both agendized & non-agendized matters. The Meeting will be recorded & televised & later available on the City's website to watch anytime.

There will be Closed Session at 4:30 p.m., followed by Study Session (recorded and televised) at 5:15 p.m. Open Session is at 6 p.m. (recorded and televised).
