HEADS UP to anyone traveling to and from Williamstown next Tuesday.

This just in from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 6:

Temporary Road Closure on Cordova Road (KY 36) in Grant County on Tuesday, Sept. 9

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of an upcoming temporary road closure on Cordova Road (KY 36) in Grant County on Tuesday, Sept. 9. Our KYTC Grant County maintenance crew will be replacing a cross pipe under the road and addressing a slide on a portion of the road. Once completed, this work will greatly improve drainage and safety to the traveling public.
On Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., a full road closure will be in place at the 16.56 mile point on Cordova Road. This location is between Oak Ridge Road and Ashbrook Road. Due to the extent of the repairs, this project will require a full road closure during working hours.
Motorists should plan ahead and find an alternate route to avoid delays. Grant County Schools bus transportation has been made aware of the project and daytime traffic impacts.
Weather permitting, this project is expected to be completed on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 3 p.m. KYTC will provide further updates on the District 6 Roadshow if additional days of work are needed to complete the project.
