Today marks 10 years that my best friend & beloved sister passed away. I remember this day like yesterday. It was a day I expected, but I still wasn't ready. It was like a dream or a movie in the slowest motion.

💔 I received the call from my niece and knew instantly by the ring that my sister was gone. I listened to my niece cry out for her mom while the EMT, coroner and all the medical staff were there. It completely broke my heart, but I "had" to be strong for my niece. I got off the phone and called out to my LS Carmen Harper to inform her of my sister's passing. She listened and made sure I was okay.

The remainder of the day I was numb. I interacted with people, went to the CIAA games, ate food, but I was not present. What I did feel was the support of the ladies around me. I have the best friends ever! Though I felt disconnected and alone, I knew I was surrounded by love.

💘☀️ My sister was an advocate for healing. Though she did not survive, she did everything that was asked of her. She wanted to live, not just exist or survive.

Looking back over my life as a single lady and now a married woman. I didn't start my healing journey until 2002 & it was time 🤣

Oooooooo weee the stories that I could tell and have told about this young woman right here. Let me just say this, she presented well, but she wasn't 😭

I made a decision to become the woman that deserved more out of life.

No more pretending
No more accepting
No more feeling misunderstood
No more feeling ashamed
No more existing
No more feeling guilt

😘 Too many years were taken from me or should I say I allowed it. I was tired of handouts, "except this or nothing". My life wasn't my own. I was a victim of circumstance. My past was winning and I didn't know how not to lose.

🔥 One of the hardest things I did and had to do was take back control and power that I lost. I was scared, but I found others that could support me in my journey.

I'm so sick and tired of having S*X!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There, I finally let that out and it had to be said. Wives and girlfriends do you feel me? Or am I alone? Let's do a checklist.
👉 Are you quiet just to keep the peace?
👉 Feeling emotionally drained?
👉 Physically tired from doing everything
👉 Laborious feeling taking care of family
👉 Being intimate is another chore on the list
👉 Misunderstood is an understatement
👉 Groundhog's day is literally your life
👉 Anxiety & Depression are too familiar
If you answered yes and/or said Amen to more than 1 of these questions. You are tired of having S*X as well. Don't shoot the messenger, but be thankful someone notices what's happening. You are not alone.❤️
😘😘 Let me spell it out S.E.X is Sour Emotion eXhaustion. Yes, that's correct. How you feel in your emotions will affect you in many areas. In the beginning there probably wasn't any concern. "It's fine, it's okay, it's nothing" Are some of the things you said or thought. Fast-forward to current and you're saying. "I'm tired of having S.E.X.".
😍😍 What you want to do is make love. I see you smiling. How would that feel? Great. Exactly!!!!! Making Love can look like this:

All of my life I have been serving people in their emotions. For 21 years in MH, about to be 22, multiple lives have been transformed. Since 2018 I have been assigned to help women of color that experienced physical and s*xual abuse.
