The challenge for sales people and leaders alike of rests in ‘when do I begin building rapport?’ Most feel like making the offer, presenting the product, asking loads of questions should be the first few phases of the sale. WHY DO LEADERS DECLINE HELP THEY NEED?

“One might think this is a rhetorical question. Others would propose a leader doesn’t need help, they are already leaders. Many leaders I talk to struggle with trusting people enough to ask for help. In my humble opinion, many leaders decline help they need out of fear of exposure. They refuse to be seen as weak. They avoid giving ammo to their enemies at all costs. They hold issues close to their chest, even if the issue itself is ticking and capable of destroying them any second.” J. Loren Norris
