🇲🇽🎶🇺🇸 From Tejano Stage to U.S. Congress
In the 1990s, millions of fans across Texas and the Southwest knew the voice of Bobby Pulido.
His hit song Desvelado became a classic at parties, quinceañeras, and dance halls throughout the Mexican-American community. With his signature Tejano sound and cowboy hat style, Pulido quickly became one of the most recognizable young stars in the genre.
But now, his journey is taking a new direction.
Bobby Pulido has won the Democratic primary for Texas’ 15th Congressional District, stepping from the music stage into the world of public service.
Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Pulido grew up surrounded by Tejano culture. His father, Roberto Pulido, helped shape the genre for decades, and Bobby continued that legacy with a successful music career that included albums, tours, and loyal fans across the region.
Now, he’s beginning a new chapter.
If elected in the general election, Pulido would represent a district along the Texas–Mexico border, bringing the perspective of someone who grew up in the communities he hopes to serve.
For many fans, it’s a remarkable moment.
A voice that once filled dance floors across Texas may soon be heard on the floor of United States Congress.
From Tejano music to national politics, Bobby Pulido’s story is a reminder that leadership can come from many paths.
Sometimes the journey to public service begins with a song. 🎶
