Yesterday I was minding my own business at work when my coworker/friend called saying “I got the tickets!” I was like “🧐 which tickets!?” And he’s like “oh. Uh. Talk to your husband!” And hung up lmao. Turns out Jalen, my brother in law and my friend were all secretly scheming on getting us all to go see Chris Brown. They waited until day of to get tickets and then let us know lol. We were stressed out figuring out child care, our outfits, and what we were going to do with our hair but we made it happen lol. Jalen knew EVERY song WORD for word. ESPECIALLY the toxic ones lol. I think he low key used “getting the women tickets” as an excuse to go to be able to deny being a big fan lol.

Anyway his dancers were 10/10. Those ladies had us all like 😲.

has such a looovely exhibit at . We got our own piece and are so excited to get it and hang it up! I love it because it’s essentially structured chaos. The frame is so structured but all the stones within are all over! Very much me 🫶🏽.

Few things about this corporate trip:
1) my outfits were fantastic. Honorable mentions: .official

2) Meeting folks you talk to virtually in real life is kind cool! It’s like you know them well but then don’t know their physical person so you know them and then don’t lol. Interesting dynamics!

3) Meeting folks you don’t talk to virtually but should, is cool too! It gets yall familiar with each other and more comfortable reaching out for things

4) Lunch and dinner on corporate dime is a vibe. Nothing wildly extravagant but it’s always nice to get a meal

5) traveling to a different city in the middle of the week is cool! Keeps you young to do something new. A way to kind of break out of the hamster wheel lol

6) Making friends with random strangers on your flight! I walked to my seat and immediately knew I was going to be friends with my row mate - we had the same bag! Ultimate yap session.

7) finding nice people - a man in line to the plane asked me when restaurants closed at the Dallas airport because he was starving. I offered him my banana, my apple, my orange and my bag of white cheddar popcorn lol. He said no but thought it was a nice gesture that he gave me one of these $11 chocolates! and walked off.

8) Centurion lounge is getting out of control. You are on a waitlist, to then wait to get in, to then wait once you’re in. Then once I was finally inside I was chased down because I was apparently by a super private elevator (I was looking for a mothers room to pump - which btw they didn’t have) and I was chased down asked “did you just get off that elevator?!?” I was like 🧐 no but where is the mother’s room?!? I pumped in the shower which was fine it was clean lol

Great trip but I definitely missed my hubby, my babies and my home. Glad to be back!

A week of my postpartum, at home outfits. 🙆🏽‍♀️
During my last postpartum period I felt like I was in an endless cycle of feeding, rocking and holding. I never made time to get ready for the day so they all began to blur together and it felt pretty funky. This time around Jalen and I prioritize that I get some me time to get ready - even if I don’t leave the house at all or see anyone or film or anything lol. It has really been helping lift my spirits and I highly recommend. I’m actually shocked that I didn’t do this just in general working from home. I’ve been working from home for years just chilling in casual clothes that I just throw on. All of my “good” clothes just chilling in the closet, never worn lol. So now I’m going to actually wear the clothes I buy because being at home could be fancy. And looking back, the women in my family all dress up to just chill at home lol. Like the old French men who wear vests and sit in their study. Love that for me lol. Anyway! Which was your favorite look?
