This week we recognize National Nonprofit Day. Dedicated to supporting efforts that serve your local community, Michael Sampson Books is proud to be the publisher of ALITHIA RAMIREZ WAS AN ARTIST by Violet Lemay Illustrator/Author

ALITHIA RAMIREZ WAS AN ARTIST was written with the support of Alithia Ramirez's parents, Jess Hernandez and Ryan Ramirez, in response to the school tragedy in Uvalde, Texas on May 24, 2022. Proceeds from sales go to Alithia's Art Angels to help support The Alithia Haven Ramirez Memorial Summer Seminar Scholarship fund. This fund covers workshops, supplies, food, field trips, evening activities, and room and board for high school students to attend The Savannah College of Art and Design Summer Seminars.

Whether it’s by volunteering, purchasing a book, or just speaking out about a cause, show your support for National Nonprofit Day and your local community this week.

Accepting entries worldwide in over 50 categories, the Purple Dragonfly Book Award Contest celebrates original and innovative children’s literature with creative content and design.
