The Selma 60 Mock Trial is a part of a 3 day jubilee that happens each year to commemorate the 1965 Bloody Sunday March, Jimmy Lee Jackson, and all of the other key players that catapulted the civil rights movement into the halls of the White House.

This year marked the 60th anniversary of that day, March 07th, 1965. Congresswoman Maxine Waters participated in the commemorative events during the 3 day jubilee; this mock trial's date marked the 1st day of the jubilee.
