The Bryn Mawr Project Reveal
I am so excited to reveal a true passion project I’ve been working on with my favorite General Contractor: my dad, Jerry Vincent.
This journey began last December when I was a guest on . The talented host, , asked me to share the story of my beloved childhood dollhouse. I reference that house often because it was the very first canvas where I practiced my love for decor and entertaining.
After listening to the interview, my parents called me with a surprise: “It sounds like we need to renovate the dollhouse!”
Starting in January, my dad and I began our plans to bring the house into the present day. My vision was to create a miniature home, a tiny reflection of the aesthetic I love. But as the months went by, the project became about so much more than just wooden floors, appliances, and paint, it became a cherished family affair.
My dad would call me with enthusiastic updates on electrical plans, custom paint samples, and landscaping ideas. If you overheard our conversations you just might think I was renovating a large property in Atlanta. Along the way, we discovered just how vast and loyal the miniature community is. We’ve made new friends, learned the nuances of the industry, and, most importantly, spent invaluable time together.
I hope you enjoy a look inside the Bryn Mawr. I also hope it inspires you to pursue your own passions, no matter how small they may seem. A special thank you to my dear friend , whose simple question sparked this entire movement.
While the Bryn Mawr is officially complete, I have a feeling we’ve caught the “mini” bug, house number two is already under construction!
