Salvation - Don’t let anyone fool you, salvation through Jesus Christ is free, but being friends with God is not free any more than it is free to have a best friend. To have a best friend, it costs you time for chatting or talking on the phone, time for fellowships in person, money for gifts and travels, when necessary, commitment to being there for them no matter what, and more. Yeah, the benefits are great too. All God requires is time for fellowship with him as often as you would do with your very friend. The benefits? Well, they are everything he is, have, and can do. Living Grace
It is grace that brought Jesus to our lives to forgive, save, and show us the way to remain close to him. But you should not take grace for granted or you begin to undermine its flow. Closeness to God, in the Spirit, is always necessary for living in the realm of the partaker of grace for needs in your life, (Hebrews 4:16). Like a signal tower, Grace is magnified when you are close to the source of grace. The Spirit of the living God, is the source of grace. The further away from it, the less clear and receptive the signal power. Does it mean that works are required for grace to be merited? No, the grace that brought salvation through Jesus Christ to you is “not of works lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV). But I am persuaded that there’s also living grace, for needs that demand more than what you can do. The message of living grace is in these two questions – Jesus has saved you and made himself available to you, now what will you do with Jesus? Has he earned being your close friend, or will you just say, ‘thank you very much, I appreciate what you’ve done for me, I’ll take it from here?’ In the world, there will be times when on your own is not going to be enough. You still need living grace.
Within his will, God wants you to live in victory on earth. This is part of your inheritance from him. Living and responding consciously, spiritually, as heir of salvation and more, keeps you close to the ever-beaming signal tower of grace, Jesus Christ, the Lord, in whom all things are always possible! I pray that Grace, will quicken your mind and spirit and keep you connected to his signals. This is my prayer for you, in the Holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen!!!

Ahh! The Day of Freedom
Freedom comes in all forms and each one is achieved through struggles and overcoming of challenges. There’s no freedom that didn’t involve a fight of some sort, either with your colonial or slave master, your boss, bully friend or family member, or with yourself. Even when you have broken free, you must be determined to never go back to that environment. That’s a different kind of struggle, but not an easy one because there are things always poised to challenge your freedom. Indeed, victory in the struggle to remain free is what keeps freedom.

For those redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, freedom from the slavery, master of sin, is no different. According to Apostle Paul, (Romans 8:5-11) The struggle here is of the mind, not to be controlled by sinful nature. It is not in never failing. The expectation and conviction are that the renewing of our mind, by His Spirit, will elevate our desires above the wanton dictates of the spirit of sin, bringing total freedom. In this hope, we are not alone. God Almighty is on our side! Happy Freedom Day to us all!

Mission Possible:
You see, you are a great being, able to do amazing things. Every time you excel in something, discover new things – find the strength to overcome, defeat the enemy and his devises, produce the airplane, television, the internet and smart machines, parachutes, the cure for diseases, etc. you are telling the story of who God is. He gave the ability and ingenuity to do these great things. A wise observer would know that if the receiver of a gift can do the amazing with it, there must be so much more where that came from. This is how we praise God constantly without saying much. This is why he put us on earth, on a mission. The prophet Isaiah put it this way, “The people I form formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.” (Isaiah 43:21) The ingenuity, creativity, resilience, abilities of man, are messages of God’s glory and wonders. We have our work cut out for us, declaring his glory through the life we live. Yes, we can clap our hands, sing good songs, and serve in many ways. But it’s our lives that put out indisputable messages of who our God is. We have our mission cut out for us. Doable? Yes, if you keep rising and pressing the fight with him by your side, your helper. The Mercy Seat - 4/3/2023
God instructed the design of the Ark of the Covenant and put a seat for himself from where his eyes were constantly looking at some things. They were items in the wooden box that held his commands given on Mount Sinai; a Jar of Mana from the desert; the very Rod of Aaron that had budded in Moses’s Temple. This morning, I was reminded that the eyes of God never look away from where these things are established and set in place. It doesn’t mean that you will never face the turbulences that are common to the earth, only that his presence will always be with you and around you, no matter what, a difference maker every time. I was also reminded that he has called us to add other things to the chest of holy articles from him and carry them with us, Spiritually, at all times, wherever we go. The Blood of Jesus, and all his works in your own life are new things for your chest. Together, all these things form a testimony to him and reminders to you of his goodness, care in love, and power like no other, and stirring unending praise in your heart and spirit. As we approach Easter, this is the call from heaven!

Leftovers are Great
I always enjoy Thanksgiving leftovers; they seem to taste even better. So, as you have your fill of those keep your mind also on the Lord’s table. No, I don’t mean the communion table, but the table of abundance of the thing you need. A certain Canaanite woman had her mind on this table and didn’t mind getting even the left over from it, even while facing stiff rejection. In her mind, even a little from the Lord’s table are more than enough to fill her hunger – “Yes, it is Lord, even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their Master’s table” (Matthew 15:27). Some hunger will remain even after indulging yourself in the feast of the season, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Remember that you have a Master, and that a little faith brings a lot of grace that will not deny you even the crumbs from the table of love, grace and mercies that is always set in the Lord’s presence. Season’s greetings in his name!

Speak to the mountain
Have you ever spoken to a mountain? What a silly question you ask, right? Well, if you’re thinking something like mount Everest or Kilimanjaro, that’s not what I mean. Jesus said to his disciples one day, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you”, Matthew 17:20 (NIV); Mark 17:25.
Though pointing to a physical mountain, the Master was speaking figuratively. He uses the mountain as symbol of things that stand in the way, whatever that thing is and whatever the way is that will bring him glory in your life. So, what is it for you today? Does something stand in the way of your good health, wellbeing, family, finances, job, business, and you want it to end its obstruction? Then, in prayer and with faith in Jesus, tell it to move, and watch it do as you say, because it’s not you who is speaking but the Lord of all.

“We Sing Hallelujah”
I revere the Lord of hosts much and songs of worship are my favorite link to the place of basking in his presence and in reverence for who he is in my life and our world. It continues to amaze me that often, when am in that place, he points out to me aspects of his love that I should retain in my consciousness. It happened again this morning as I worshipped with songwriter and worship leader extraordinaire, Kari Jobe, and Bethel Church. The song is, “Forever”, and the lyrics include these words, “Forever he is Glorified, forever he is lifted high." Instantly, a powerful truth came revealed that Jesus can never be unglorified in our lives by anything, including death, for "he who the Son has set free, is free indeed". And just as “The ground began to shake” and release the Savior from the grave, I began to almost jump out of my skin for this song and wanting to just give him unending praise and glory that He deserves, because for this reason our "Hallelujah" should never end. Would you join me and all who love to worship the “King of glory” to give him his due today, and always. Amen!

The Cleansing Flow
Said Jesus to Peter, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me”, John 13:8. Is there a need to be clean as you come or sit before the Lord, and do you want to pray this prayer? He’s always standing by with water in a bowl to wash your feet, and a towel around his waist to dry your feet. Why your feet? Well, you and I walk through very dirty places each day, and cleanliness is important to him.

God's Love
I was listening this morning to a video recording of my daughter leading worship at Central Church, Plano, Texas and streams of tears poured out of my eyes. It could have filled a big cup. First, it was for the lyrics of the song and second about how God’s love can be felt and seen in the lives of chosen people for generations, and never let go when we remain faithful. When he anointed me for worship and prayer in 1995, I never knew that he would also extend that to my children. Today, that’s exactly what I see in all three of them, and it’s amazing.
The song lyrics that got me this morning says of God, “You don’t give your heart in pieces, and you don’t hide yourself to tease us….” His love is complete, he doesn’t hold any of it back or stop halfway with it. He goes all the way and forever with his love if we keep looking to him. There’s always more of his love to give, it’s limitless. In this New Year, 2022, my prayer is that you will look to our God often, daily if you can, and receive from him all that his love has to offer you.
