MY STEPMOM SECRETLY SHOWED UP AT MY PROM HAIR APPOINTMENT INSTEAD OF ME TO RUIN MY DAY.

So, I'm 17 and a senior, living with my dad, my stepmom Carla, and her son, Mason. Carla, can't stand me. It all started when I was 10 after my mom passed, and she married my dad. She once said I looked "too much" like my mom and has hated me ever since.

Anyway, prom. I've been planning this night for ages. I saved up for a violet dress (my mom's favorite color) and booked a salon appointment to get my hair done.

On the big day, I head to the salon... only to be told my appointment was canceled. I'm like, what?! And then I see her — Carla, sitting in the chair, getting her hair done, with this evil smirk. I knew she did it to ruin my night.

I go home, tears in my eyes, trying to fix my frizzy hair myself. But then, I hear honking outside. I ignore it at first, but it keeps going. I look out, and there's a freakin' LIMO parked in front of my house.

I rush downstairs, and the driver hands my dad a card. "I'm here to pick up Miss Emily for prom," he says. WHAT?! My jaw hit the floor.

I stood there. My dad looked just as confused as I was, and then he handed me the card with a note saying what this limo meant. ⬇️

It was Joseph's 37th birthday, which he had been waiting for for a long time. He had planned everything down to the smallest detail and invited his wealthy friends, as well as his boss, Samuel. However, in the middle of the celebration, Joseph's housekeeper, Karen, tripped and fell, spilling wine on the boss's suit.

"I am so s-s-sorry... I will clean it up. I'm so sorry, sir," Karen apologized, aware that everybody was staring at her and frowning.

"SORRY? Will that do any good for my suit?" Samuel fumed.

The guests burst into laughter, mocking Karen and adding insult to injury. She could no longer endure it and walked away in tears.

"Jo, what sort of housekeeper have you got? Fire her immediately!" Samuel yelled.

"Jo, why are you standing there like a statue? This good-for-nothing crone has ruined my expensive suit. FIRE HER, NOW! Or I'll fire you!" Samuel added, confident that Joseph would do as he was told.

What Samuel didn't know was that this seemingly ordinary maid was more important to Joseph than anyone else in the house.👇
