I picked up an acorn this morning.
One of many, falling upon the ground, softly raining down from the trees this time of year—
a time of prophetic abundance.
This one acorn I held in my hand:
dark black-brown tip, fading ever so slowly into a warmer mahogany.
The shine and sheen of its surface caught the light,
and it seemed, perhaps, the deepest breadth of life I had fallen into.
As my attention focused on this one of many, many seeds,
I was caught in its expression of individuality—
a reflection of all that surrounded me,
of eternal beauty instilled.
I picked up an acorn this morning.

I think perhaps the most challenging aspect of what I'm doing is giving up my need to control the process and trusting that the right people will be drawn to my message. I keep finding myself trying to loop in old acquaintances or past friends, sharing with them the excitement of my journey, only to see a lack of magnetism from them. Yet every time I turn around, a new person is brought into my gravity—some synchronistic connection of seeming randomness. But they are drawn to my new message, my bold frontier, my higher self calling to their higher self.
Yes, it means walking through anxiety. Yes, it is frightening. Yes, it is trusting that Creative Intelligence has my back. It is a singular journey, but one that brings true freedom.

Art brings people together. Really enjoying my Fall program at Unity of Dallas, combining mandala team building and sharing of spiritual ideas. Looking forward to my retreat next May in Santa Fe.
