π¦ "Yellow butterflies. Every time I really miss him. One comes."
She is seven years old.
And she has already developed a whole language
for loving someone she cannot see anymore.
She watches for yellow butterflies.
Not because someone told her to.
Not because it is easy to explain.
But because love finds its way.
It always finds its way.
Even through the impossible distance.
Even through grief that has no bottom.
It finds a flutter of yellow wings
and it says β
I am still here.
I see you.
You are not alone.
There is a mother in that audience
wearing a yellow ribbon
sitting beside a folded paper butterfly on an empty seat.
She has been the strongest person in the room
every single day for two years.
Not because she is not breaking.
But because her daughter is watching.
And today her daughter looked at that empty seat
and said to the sky β
Mama is still the strongest person I know.
To every parent raising children through grief β
To every child who has learned to look for signs β
To every family with an empty seat that still belongs to someone β
You are not imagining it.
The love does not go.
It just changes what it looks like.
Sometimes it looks like a yellow butterfly
arriving at exactly the right moment.
