3:12pm (Nov 23) - A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued until 3:45pm for a strong storm about 10 miles west of Sundown, moving east at 25 mph. Quarter-size hail and 60 mph winds are possible with this storm. Folks in/near Sundown should seek shelter now; this storm is moving in the general direction of Lubbock, so folks in Lubbock should keep an eye on this storm over the next hour or so, as well. -Trey

3:05pm (Nov 23) - A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for a storm currently in between Rule and Haskell, moving northeast at 55 mph. Quarter-size hail and 60 mph wind gusts are possible with this storm. Folks in Weinert and eventually Munday and Goree should keep a close eye on this storm and seek shelter. -Trey

3:00pm (Nov 23) - A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for an intense storm just southwest of Monahans. Quarter-size hail and 60 mph winds are possible with this storm as it moves northeast at 30 mph. Folks between Monahans and Royalty should take shelter now! -Trey

SEVERE STORM WATCH! The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of West Texas, effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 215 PM until 1000 PM CST. Primary threats include scattered large hail (and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible) and isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible. A tornado or two possible. 11/23 1215PM: Storms are already getting active this Sunday. Scattered showers are moving across the Panhandle and West Texas early this afternoon, with locally heavy rain and lightning from the Coastal Bend into South Central Texas. Corpus Christi and Rockport have seen multiple downpours, which may cause brief ponding on roads.

The severe threat ramps up after 2–3 PM in the Permian Basin, the western Concho Valley, and the eastern Trans-Pecos before a very active night and Monday ahead.

There is a Slight Risk of severe weather in today into tonight! Storms will primarily run the risk of dropping large , but a brief tornado cannot be ruled out.

Development is expected in the mid-afternoon in the Permian Basin, with activity moving northeast into the Big Country. Places like Andrews, Odessa, Midland, and Big Spring will be watching out for storms capable of hail.

We will be covering any hazards and keeping y’all apprised as severe weather pops off today and will also threaten eastern Texas tomorrow. ~Jason/TSC

The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado between Jacksonville and Tecula, Texas, on the night of November 20. Peak winds reached 100 mph with a path length of 0.72 miles and a maximum width of 120 yards.

The tornado touched down just east of Highway 135 and moved along County Roads 4212 and 4213, where it damaged or destroyed multiple barns, snapped and uprooted trees, downed power lines, and caused roof and porch damage to several homes. Metal roofing was thrown several hundred yards.

No injuries or fatalities were reported.

This was a short-lived but impactful , and we're glad everyone came out safe.
