🥩🦐 Garlic Butter Steak & Shrimp over Yellow Rice
🔸 Ingredients:
For the Steak:
1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
For the Shrimp:
½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
Juice of ½ lemon
Salt & pepper
Fresh parsley for garnish
For the Yellow Rice:
1½ cups long grain rice
3 cups chicken broth
1 tsp turmeric
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp butter
For the Broccoli:
2 cups broccoli florets
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper
Pinch of chili flakes (optional)
🔹 Instructions:
1. Make the Yellow Rice:
In a pot, melt butter. Add rice, turmeric, cumin, and salt. Stir for 1–2 minutes.
Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18–20 minutes until rice is tender and fluffy.
2. Roast or Sauté Broccoli:
Toss broccoli with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Roast at 425°F (220°C) for 15–20 minutes OR sauté in a skillet until charred and tender.
3. Cook the Steak Bites:
In a bowl, mix steak cubes with olive oil, Worcestershire, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Sear in a hot skillet for 3–4 minutes until browned but tender. Remove and set aside.
4. Sauté the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic. Cook until fragrant.
Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Cook for 2–3 minutes until pink.
5. Assemble:
Plate yellow rice first.
Top with charred broccoli, steak bites, and shrimp.
Drizzle with remaining garlic butter from the skillet.
Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top.
💡 Optional Add-ons:
Add a drizzle of garlic aioli or creamy herb sauce for extra richness.
Mix in sautéed onions or bell peppers for more flavor.
