The tumour left her with incomplete tetraplegia, requiring ongoing rehabilitation and care.
Genetic testing revealed a chromosome anomaly behind her cancer and developmental delay.
Despite everything, Effie is full of love, affection, and determination, communicating in her own unique ways even though she is non-verbal.
