I haven't bought a pair of shoes in 3 years.
That was harder to admit out loud than I expected.
My shoes are so worn down I hit a little water in the mall and damn near met my ancestors. š
But the shoes aren't really the point.
How many things have we convinced ourselves we don't need because we're so used to putting ourselves last?
There's always another bill. Another responsibility. Another person who needs something.
Meanwhile, we keep saying, "I'll get to me later."
Life is short.
Find something that makes you happy and start working toward it.
You deserve some of the effort you give everybody else.
